The first thing to note is that while negative thinking and thoughts are controversial, they are not always bad. It is important to let ourselves feel the full spectrum of human emotions which could be sadness, anger, guilt and other emotions that may be deemed negative. However, negative thoughts become problems when they are repetitive, unhelpful and harmful.
